Air System Audits

The purpose of an air audit is to allow us to help you calculate the cost of compressed air use, understand your compressed air system and identify easy to implement energy efficiency strategies for your compressed air system. Power Service, Inc. offers a three tiered plan of evaluation:

Supply Side Audit: The supply side audit allows us to become more familiar with your compressed air system components and how your air is produced.  Power Service, Inc. will evaluate your level of air treatment (Quality of Air), identify and quantify the leaks in your air system, evaluate your lowest possible operating pressure, assess your existing controls and look for potential applications for heat recovery.  Included in the evaluation are examinations of filters, aftercoolers, dryers, automatic drains and air receivers.

Demand Side Audit: The demand side audit allows us to see how your compressed air is actually being used in the plant.  Power Service, Inc. will review your overall layout of your piping system.  A load profile for your system that shows your air usage changes over time will be calculated and evaluated. Also, an end use equipment list will be compiled in order to properly size the supply side compressors and to identify inappropriate air usage.

Maintenance: Power Service, Inc. will evaluate maintenance procedures, records and training. This is done to ensure that procedures are in place for operating and maintaining the compressed air system, and that your employees are properly trained in these procedures.
